Homecoming is a small food and music event in Rotterdam by Housekamer Collective. Chefs and DJs from different backgrounds bring their worlds together: soul food rooted in kitchens from around the world, and music from house to dub and baile funk.
We bring people together the simple way. Long tables, food shared family style, games on the table and music that moves from the first plate to the last dance. Phones go away for a few hours, so you can be fully present.

Long family tables
Shared dining, family style. We keep the event small and intimate: everyone sits together at long family tables, every dish gets passed around, and the person next to you doesn't stay a stranger for long.
Chefs with a story
Soul food, cooked with love and real craftsmanship. SexyFlavors has been in the kitchen from the very first edition, often joined by guest chefs with stories of their own. Every edition brings a new menu, made for that moment.
Music that feels right
The DJs of Housekamer Collective, Yònkuman and FrankieFastRider, play back to back from the first plate to the last dance: house, dub, disco, afro, hip hop and baile funk. Often joined by a guest DJ who brings their own sound. No stage, no distance.
Be present
For a few hours, phones go in your pocket and games and conversation cards come out. No VIP, no posing, just being here with the people around you. The idea is simple: you leave with at least one new connection.

Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Plenty of guests come on their own, and that's exactly the point. With long shared tables, games and conversation cards, you won't be on your own for long.
What's included in the ticket?
Usually all the food: the chefs cook several dishes that are served family style. What's included differs per edition, so check the event page.
Is there vegetarian or halal food? Can you cater for allergies?
There's always a vegetarian option, and all meat is halal. You can let us know about allergies when you buy your ticket.
