About
What if the best nights don't happen in clubs, but at home, around a table, with music and people who really want to be there?
That question is where Housekamer Collective comes from. The name is a play on huiskamer, Dutch for living room: a place where everyone is welcome and nobody has to perform.
We started in 2023 by hosting events for our own group of friends. Along the way we noticed how many people were looking for exactly that: a place to come together, eat well and actually meet each other. In a city where it's easy to stay in your own bubble, we wanted to create a space where different worlds sit at the same table.
Homecoming is how we do that. The first edition took place in March 2026, and every edition since has brought new chefs, new sounds and new faces.
The collective

Housekamer Collective is an organic group of creatives: DJs, photographers, videographers and more. Surya brought us together in 2023, and she's still the creative driving force behind everything we do.
It started with house parties in Marnix's and Franklin's living rooms, followed by public events in the city at places like Culture Hub and Studio Grounded. Step by step, that grew into Homecoming.
Yònkuman and FrankieFastRider were DJing long before Housekamer existed. Today they shape its sound, often joined by guest DJs and makers who share the same feeling.
The collective is open by design. Anyone who feels at home here is welcome to become part of it. Want to join? Send us a message.

Creative driving force
Surya
Surya brought the collective together, and with Franklin she leads Homecoming and shapes every concept. She's also the one behind the branding and promotion. A true creative at heart: an artist, and currently writing a book.

Clipboard by day, crates by night
Franklin
Franklin has been organising music events since 2010, driven by a love for the night and what it does to people. With Surya he leads Homecoming: he shapes the concepts and takes care of the planning, venues and tickets. Behind the decks he's FrankieFastRider, a genre-spanning selector moving through ambient, experimental, 90s trance, house, disco and world.

Sunshine in every set
Marnix
Marnix's DJ story started by accident. While eating at a friend's restaurant, the DJ had to leave and he stepped in. The room loved it, and he was welcome back anytime. After a year or two on vinyl he moved to the Caribbean, playing salsa nights, reggae beaches and afro boat parties, where he earned the name Yònkuman: Papiamentu for "young guy". Back in Rotterdam he opened his living room for the first Housekamer parties. Today he mixes vinyl and digital, from Brazilian rhythms and baile funk to reggae, konpa and kizomba. Laid back or full on, always with sunshine in the tunes.
Not a party. Coming home.
Most nights out are about who you came with. Homecoming is about who you'll meet. You sit at long family tables, the dishes go around, and before long you're talking to the person next to you. Games and conversation cards help, and the music does the rest.
Plenty of guests come on their own, and that's exactly the point. We keep it small and intimate, so nobody gets lost in the crowd.
Why we do this
Unity in diversity, and real connection in real life. In a time of polarisation and online distraction, we bring people back to the same table.
The food is in good hands with SexyFlavors
We've been working with the chefs of SexyFlavors since the very first Homecoming in March 2026.
They cook the way their mothers cooked for them. Love, attention and a lust for life. Combined with the fragrant kitchens of the Caribbean, Africa and Latin America, with a touch of Europe. Behind this are two chefs with stories worth knowing.
